Not sure why we had to get out for 10 mins every 45 mins. The lifeguard was loud and rude yelling out the rules and no one could understand what he was saying. The first day at the pool was like being in basic training. They only changed the towels and washcloths which was really unnecessary and wasteful. The whole 4 nights we were there our room was not cleaned or vacuumed. They came up when we were out but it was a temporary fix. Called about the shower making a really high pitch annoying sounds(kids were scared to use it). (I rewashed everything we were going to use). I was told they had the dirty utensils sitting on her desk. Guy came up took the old ones and said he'd be right back. Had someone come to bring fresh utensils. Once in the room, things seemed good until we opened the utensil drawers. up 2 flights of stairs especially with back issues. I didn't know we would have to carrying luggage etc. Anyway, checking into the room was a struggle. I didn't want to stay but let my friend convince me. Less to worry about when leaving the room! Overall, not great. Nice feature to include the room key with the wristband.

my kids enjoyed the movie theater and the arcade - the best feature is the shuttle that goes directly to the OC boardwalk. The staff is friendly and the place is very family-oriented with all of the activities.

We figured it out but some signage would be helpful! The good: - Rooms were clean with daily housekeeping, despite the constant flies. Would be nice to have the shuttle pick-up marked. It was hard to locate the main office because we came in thru the side entrance. signage around the resort would be helpful. We couldn't even get into the indoor pool because it was overflowing with little kids and no one regulating it. The outdoor pool is super small and does not accommodate the size of this resort. Would be nice is they instituted and enforced quiet hours like some other places. There was a fight outside the last night we were there. Kids playing outside until all hours, people running up and down the steps. This is not a reflection of the establishment necessarily but if you are looking for a quiet stay, this is not the place for you. We asked for a new blanket and the replacement was softer. The blanket they give you is too small for the bed and super scratchy. The beds, especially the sofa bed, are not comfortable at all. The bad: - rooms are small and very outdated. To be fair, this place is not unlike a lot of other places in OC - very dated and over crowded. My family just returned from a long weekend here, and will likely not return. I will no longer be patronizing this place! 2 stars because the kids are pure and don't recognize racist. Having worked in hospitality this is inexcusable and unacceptable. The female bartender was great, the Bodybuilder bartender and the one that looked like Julio Iglesias were trash suspected racist. Must be the culture of the establishment. But employees? You don't see me waiting? Serve 2 other Caucasian gentlemen yet you don't see the 6foot 250lb Black guy patiently waiting? It was so bad one of the Caucasian gentlemen waiting said hey this guy was here, you don't see him? $17 total for drinks and I gave the guy $24 and he says 'your change' ? Buddy, that's your tip even though you need not be working here. Hey, I get it 'This is America' not all people are exposed to Black people but really? Usually get stares from resort guest but after conversation no issues. Second year bringing family and the kids loved it! Everyone was welcoming but the Bartenders.
